Kelly Rose is a costume professional, a fabric and textile artist, a maker, a plant-lover, a light-seeker.
Kelly Rose has been making costumes professionally since 2008. She began her career at the internationally-renown Goodman Theatre, having started as an intern and working up to a managerial role, gaining skills and experience along the way. Her costume credits include such leading Chicago art institutions as Goodman Theatre, Cinespace Film Studio, The Costume Shop Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Company, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, among others. She co-chaired the Chicago Costume Community, a group organized to connect costume professionals, providing continued education and support through a common network. She is a member of Theatrical Wardrobe Union I.A.T.S.E. Local 769.
Kelly’s passion for costumes comes from her combined two loves - storytelling and clothing. She believes the clothes with which we dress bodies are an opportunity to tell our stories, to reveal more of ourselves to the world around us.
